Matt grew up near Minneapolis, MN. He attended South Dakota State University (SDSU) and received a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While at SDSU, he met his wife. They have been blessed with 20 years of marriage and 5 children.
The Lord called Matt to Himself. Matt prayed for his salvation around the age of 7 and slowly grew as a believer. Jesus has been gracious to Matt. In college, Matt’s faith in Jesus became more deeply rooted as he started reading the Bible and meeting with other believers at a local church and within InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
Matt and his family have attended Faith Baptist Fellowship since 2010. He has been involved with and taught children, youth, and adult Sunday School. He leads the church’s benevolence team.
Matt enjoys competing in family sporting events and still shovels his own driveway. Matt is Professional Engineer with a focus on soil and structural foundations.
